Friday- Headed out to St George around 8:45am for Ashley and Russell's Wedding- for a noon start time. Arrived in plenty of time to set up by the pool and on the beach. A little windy in the morning which turned into a beautiful afternoon (and hot) I left the Beach House a little after 6:45pm...Had a very nice time with everyone, I smoked a couple of Monte Crisco cigars that the groom gave me, had a couple of drinks that the bride gave me and enoyed some great BBQ that the MOG told me to eat....in other words I was really taken care of yesterday by some very nice people. Folks swam in pool, danced and visited with family and friends all afternoon. A perfect beach wedding. Enjoy the pics from my cell phone.

Saturday- I do nothing! I am going to enjoy my RARE Saturday off!!!I really have to thank Sherry for not booking me today. She said she had marked the date off along time ago because she knew I would be beat today- all day at the beach is going to wear you out so you are not going to work Saturday....Thanks Sherry, you were right!

Saturday part II Went to Springtime Tallahassee and hung out with friends, had a nice relaxing time. We sat on the lawn at Kleman Plaza and listened to Pure Prarie League and LoCash Cowboys. I though Pure Prarie should of played Stve Miller's Take The Money and Run as they basically played with no emotion and didnt engage the audience at all. But to do 180 the LoCash Cowboys had a stage show that was great! After the older crowd took off after hearing the older band...the LoCash guys hit the stage with tons of empty seats in front of them...three songs into their set, the place was filling back up again. For those that left you missed a great show.

I HAD TO WORK!!!! Nate's truck is in the shop and he couldnt get a ride to Rubie, so I went out and did Rubie- slower night but a good time all and all!

New Booking Number!

Well we finally did it-after three years we overwhelmed Sherry and we had to add another booking number.
Sherry will still be doing all the booking for GT Entertainment Casino Parties but for DJ only bookings Kevin will be taking over.The new number is on the top of the blog.

March 24-26

Wow! Is this weather great or what? I love Tallahassee and with everything in full bloom this is going to be another wonderful weekend!

Friday I DJed Rubie Sky  a little slow but we figured everyone was headed to the beach the next day, Saturday night really made up for Friday as The Sky Bar at Rubie Sky was packed for 80's night

Congrats!!! Melissa and Kenyon! What a great wedding! The Melissa and Kenyon danced to Greeneyes by Coldplay. The Bride and Groom walked into the UF Jaws/Go Gators theme, The guys came in with The Ceremony Music from Star Wars IV and the girls walked in with the theme from Sex In The City. The reception and ceremony were at The Retreat At Bradleys. Got to work with Kay Meyer, Enchanted Evenings and Catering Capers, it's good to work with friends makes the day go smoother for everyone especially the Bride and Groom!

We even had the bride and groom along with many of the wedding party come out with me to Rubie Sky for another great 80's night. 

Sunday-Emily and Trevor got married and had the reception at The Womans Club at Los Robles. Very nice late afternoon reception as Trevor and Emily danced to When You Say Nothing At All after the groomsmen walked in with Darth Vaders Theme playing, the girls walked in with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and the Parents had With This Ring by The Platters as intro music.

St Patricks Weekend

Thursday even though I didn’t DJ- Headed over to the Civic Center with some friends to watch some basketball. Kind of a “boys night out” we drank, ate and watched FSU kick the crap out of Michigan. Thanks Chris for letting us storm your box suite.

Friday I Djed at Paradise-yes, you read that correct, I Djed Paradise. It has been a while since I set up in the booth at The Dice. I will be back next month to DJ as GT Entertainment is celebrating 10 years at Paradise. Keep checking back to see who will be Djing at Paradise on Friday’s.

Nate Djed FSU’s Relay For Life and Nick from our Casino Division even helped out as he Djed from 11pm to 7am out there! WOW. Jason AKA Mr. Tallahassee brought his laptop and finished up from 7am to 11am. FSU raised a lot of money out there all for cancer research.

Saturday-St. Patricks Day- Tara and David got married in The Park at Los Robles and had the reception at The Womans Club. I can wrap up the reception by saying the bar ran out of everything. We sang, danced and celebrated their marriage.  Got to work with Meg and Charles you have to check out the work they do.

Tara and David gave me a great thank you note-Ill share it with you. From the moment I met you-I knew you were the man for the job! Thank you so much for sharing this special day with us. I wish you the best of luck.
I was going to go out to Rubie Sky to finish the night but Nate had a gig cancel on him, which we are NOT happy about. Advice for folks-tell your DJ when you don’t need them, it’s called being polite.So Nate headed out to Rubie Sky. So I joined Harry at Café and got there in time to see Crooked Shooz finish up outside, even got a shout out from the band.

Midtown was nuts last night, I’m glad St. Patrick’s Day is only once a year, "drinking holidays" cause really, really stupid behavior and I witnessed some last night. Like a drunk getting into one of Mikes Limos and demanding the driver to take him home- driver asked man to get out-man slashed tire...GT poses for picture after

What a week

Wednesday Night I DJ’ed Café Cabernet a little slower for a Wednesday with Spring Break but that just meant you could walk around a little better inside.

Returned to Café Thursday with my good friend Keith (Karaoke with Keith)and he and I teamed up for the first (and last?) night of Karaoke up there. I was going to be a one time Thursday night thing, but it went over really, really well.

Friday Lori and Erik got married and the reception was held at Golden Eagle, The Bride and Groom chose the date because it was his grandparents wedding date, yesterday was their 61st anniversary. I always seem to say it was a great time, but it always is. I had a blast with them and their guest. Back To Rubie Sky to finish Friday off- after I headed over to Rubie Sky and finished out the day- I was beat, my feet hurt and my eyes needed sleep- I woke up at 1pm on Saturday- fully refreshed and ready to hit the day.

  Saturday- Mary and Stan are got married downtown and I DJed the reception at  the Doubletree- We had a wonderful time. Very happy couple and the wedding party could not of been nicer to me. I have made some friends at the Doubletree but 8.50 for a Crown and Diet in Tallahassee?

Headed back out Rubie Sky for 80's Night after the wedding. I like 80's night.It was a little slow in The Sky Bar when I arrived but that quickly changed, It filled in really well. It was great seeing so many of my friends out last night.

Allie and John get married!

Saturday March 3rd my good friends Allie and John got married at Goodwood in Tallahassee. A perfect day for a wedding and seeing my friends tie the knot made it even better. Jonathan Allien was there taking great pictures and Andrews provided some wonderful food. It was awesome, I was there when John popped the question and watched as Allie jumped around with joy, she did the same thing walking down the aisle on Saturday. Allie and her bridal-zen were perfect. John, you werent too shabby either...lol

I didnt go out and DJ after the wedding this week (yeah!) as I headed downtown to the Governors Inn after and hung out with the newlyweds,their familes and friends. Allie's father was kind enough to book a room for me so I got to spend the night downtown. I was about three whole miles away from my home but I love staying downtown and it was so nice to spend more time with my friends both old and new.

Friday March 2nd-After Allie and John's rehersal I later DJed the Sky Bar at Rubie Sky a little slow this week as many folks headed down to St. George for the Chili Cook off. We had fun with the crowd but look foward to this weekend when the larger crowd returns.
