 The TallyAwards being a finalist and a co-host…

 

I was asked last year to co-host the TallyAwards  (the SOLD OUT awards show is this Saturday at Club Rayn), and since we are finalist I thought I would answer some questions for you, since some of these questions have been raised with us and Everything Tallahassee.

 We are Finalist in two categories, so why am I co-hosting?

 I was asked to co-host last year before the voting even began. The folks at Everything Tallahassee wanted a host that was familiar with running events in a smooth and organized manor, my name came up at a planning meeting and then I was asked shortly thereafter.

I have emceed (hosted) many, many events around Tallahassee in recent years. i.e. Tallahassee 25’s Bids For Kids, Brad Johnson’s Charity Silent Auction (both of these I co-hosted with Gene Deckerhoff), The Chamber of Tallahassee’s-Access Tallahassee Events, Comedy Zone Charity Nights…anyway, I am very familiar with emceeing events and I look forward to a night of fun co-hosting with the DJ’s from the Clear Channel family of broadcasting.

So do you know if you won?

 

No, and Everything Tallahassee keeps those a secret until the night of the TallyAwards.They have even bumped me from being on stage when our categories are being called.My list of winners will NOT include the two categories we are in. I will receive an edited list of winners when we go on stage to announce them. Honestly, I don’t want to know if we won and win or lose being involved with this has been a wonderful experience. I know that sound cliché but, it really has been fun helping with this event.

As many benefits and other community events as Greg does around Tallahassee, it does not surprise me that he was asked to host the show. Greg probably does more work in the community than all the other DJ’s in town combined. Not only is it not surprising he was asked to host but it would also not surprise me if his company won.- Steve Christian is also one of the finalist in the DJ Company TallyAward category.

 

So I hope that ends any rumblings going on that the fix is in…best of luck to all the finalist! P.S. It would be SOOOOO cool if we won! Had to put that in!

P.S.S...This is the first time is I have ever hosted this event and since we have won three times before without me hosting, I really see this as a non-issue.
